Default LP LT X-38 - Intel Xeon X3350 overclocking

Ive never had so many issues trying to overclock before.

Heres the deal. Im trying to overclock my new 45nm X3350 (the Xeon variant of the 9450). I can get my computer to get to the desktop at 3.6GHz and even run 3DMark06 successfully yet I cant run stability test such as Prime95 or even play a game at these settings. Why?

Here are the volts I hvae tried:

CPU up to 1.45volts
RAM up to 2.4volts
NB up to 1.6volts
CPU VTT up to 1.45 volts

running 450x8
Ram timings are 5-5-5-15 2T
running the very latest bios
using 333/667 for the strap/divider

Can anyone help me out?

Here is a screenshot of my latest 06 run with CPUz and GPUz.

Wow that seams a lot of everything in the volts...

Well to be honest I would tweak GTF ref volts they made huge difference for me. Did you see this chart:
http://www.clunk.org.uk/forums/12436-post11.html

You really have to nail the GTL's properly to get those volts down and to get more out of the OC.

I can run like this with the same clock as yours on an old cpu:
http://i30.tinypic.com/2pq83sg.jpg

This SS is old already my NB volts where lowered to 1.28v. And notice my DDR is running @1200Mhz with PL (5).

Save your current setup on Genie Bios and try starting from the scrapt again.

Lower every volt again till about 1.355vnb and 1.255vtt.

Lowering your current VTT to 1.255 in Bios (real measure 1.21v) you will work with the 1.2vtt chart.

So this will be your GTL's: 110/105/85

My board/cpu likes 69% instead of the 67% of the chart so you could try that also.

Lets say 69% of 1.21vtt will leave us with a required 0.835v on gtl's, that will look like this in your bios: 125/115/100.

If you are running 4Gb I would keep higher NB volt's, ignore my post about lowering the NB just lower the Vtt...

I cant even get it to post now. Ive messed with voltages and it doesnt post, Ive messed with the performance level numbers and it doesnt post, ive dealt with RAM speed (strap/divider) and that doesnt help either. Ive tried all of these together and that of course doesnt help.

This is really starting to piss me off. I have never had this much trouble overclocking my Q6600 let alone overclocking in general. I seriously think its due to the board and its plethora of features that I have no idea what they do because no one else does either. DFI doesnt bother releaseing a document stating what each new feature is and how it effects things. (which would greatly help)

Stable setting using a Q6600 at 450x8 starting at post #10.

In all fairness to all motherboard manufacturers, to include a detailed description of what quite a few of the settings do along with the why, when and how to adjust them would require an included crash course in microprocessor design.
